Robert Credaro

Robert is an Independent Director of the Northcape Board appointed in October 2024.

Robert has 34 years of experience as a financial services executive with extensive experience in equities research and portfolio management, private equity investing and superannuation. He was more recently Head of Public and Private Equity at Aware Super. Prior to his role at Aware Super, he was the Chief Investment Officer of Macquarie Private Bank and a Division Director in Macquarie’s private equity advisory and funds management business. Robert started his financial services career in Macquarie Securities prior to which Robert worked in the Federal Treasury in Canberra.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Sydney University, is a CFA® Charterholder and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Jumana Nahhas

Jumana has over 19 years of investment experience and is a portfolio manager and analyst on the Global Equity strategy. Jumana joined Northcape in 2024 and is in our Sydney office.

Before joining Northcape, Jumana consulted with Nanuk Asset Management on a pilot product scoping the market opportunity and managing a portfolio. Prior to that, she held an assistant portfolio manager role at Orca Funds Management in the Global Equities fund. Jumana lived in London for 8 years, the latter half working as an analyst on the Lansdowne European Equity Fund (a long/short strategy at Lansdowne Partners). Since this time, she has been a generalist but has a background in financials having started in equities as an insurance analyst at Credit Suisse Australia. Experience in shorting along with debt-based roles, have given Jumana a keen eye for potential red flags in company reporting, a crucial skill for quality stock selection.

Jumana holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours in Finance) from the University of Sydney.

Kokila Uma

Kokila has over 2 years of experience in the finance industry, with roles including Financial Reporting Intern at Deutsche Bank, Investment Analyst, and Finance Lecturer. She joined Northcape in 2024 and is part of the Responsible Investment team.

Kokila holds a Master of International Economics and Finance from the University of Queensland and is an ACCA Affiliate.

Lee Hao

Lee joined Northcape in November 2023 in our Sydney office and has over 2 years of investment experience.

Prior to Northcape, Lee worked in a graduate custody role at Apex Group Ltd for over a year, contributing to the establishment of its middle-office operations in Australia.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia and a Master of Commerce in Finance from the University of New South Wales.

Christine Cameron

Christine is an Independent Director of the Northcape Board appointed in June 2023.

Christine has over 30 years experience as a financial services executive and board member with extensive experience in investment management, superannuation, financial planning, and not-for-profit organisations.

Before joining Northcape, Christine was on the Board and Chair of Investment Committee for the superannuation fund, Aracon Pty Ltd. She was also on the Board and Investment Committee for Neuroscience Research Australia and is currently on the Finance Committee of Legacy Club Services. Prior to her non-executive roles, Christine was Head of Strategic Relationships at Maple-Brown Abbott for seven years from 2013 to 2020, responsible for sales, service and marketing of institutional clients.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from Macquarie University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

David Whittaker

David has more than 30 years capital markets experience with a focus on corporate governance, company disclosure, and ESG risk management. He is based in our Sydney office.

Before joining Northcape, David led the development of the active ownership program at New South Wales Treasury Corporation (TCorp) within the Investment Stewardship team. This included active ownership strategy, corporate engagement, proxy voting, peer collaboration, and ESG integration, to assess and manage risks across Australian and international holdings. Outside of corporate governance, David has a deep interest in risks related to climate change, just transition, human capital, labour rights, and indigenous rights.

Prior to TCorp, David was an investor relations adviser to ASX and NZX listed companies, supporting their market disclosure and investor relationships. He spent the early part of his career as an equities analyst, providing a solid grounding in business models and shareholder value.

David holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin (WA) majoring in economics and finance, and a Master of Arts (International Studies) from UTS (NSW) majoring in Latin America. He speaks Spanish as a second language.

Wendy Herringer

Wendy has over 18 years investment experience and is a portfolio manager and analyst for the Global Equity strategy. Wendy joined Northcape in 2022 and is in our Sydney office.

Before joining Northcape, Wendy was a portfolio manager at Barings Asset Management in the Global Equity team based in London, where she was a co-manager of the Barings Global Leaders Fund and Global Dividend Champions Fund since 2020. Starting at Barings in 2011 as an investment analyst, she covered a wide range of global companies across sectors including Consumer Staples, Consumer Discretionary, Financials, Healthcare and Industrials. Prior to that she was an investment analyst at HSBC Global Asset Management, within the Global Equities team responsible for Financial, Consumer Discretionary and Healthcare sectors. She began her career at ABN AMRO, where she was an investment analyst in the Emerging Market Fixed Income team.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) from the University of Cape Town and is a CFA® Charterholder since 2014.

Maite Carvell

Maite has over 29 years’ experience in the funds management industry and is the Head of Risk & Governance at Northcape. Maite joined Northcape in January 2022 and is in our Sydney office.

Prior to Northcape, Maite held governance, risk and compliance roles with various financial services firms, including Rest, Suncorp, Nikko Asset Management, AMP Capital, Colonial First State, QBE and State Street. Maite has strong experience in investment governance, risk management, investment compliance, and regulatory compliance.

Maite holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Western Sydney.

Jason Fu

Jason has over 2 years of experience in Australian financial services and is part of the investment operations team at Northcape. Jason joined Northcape in May 2021 and is in our Sydney office.

Prior to joining Northcape, Jason spent 2 years working as an analyst at ASIC. He was a part of the graduate program where he rotated through different business areas including market infrastructure, financial services and superannuation. His primary responsibilities involve real-time market surveillance, reviewing corporate finance transactions and applying data analytics to emerging consumer trends.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies from the University of New South Wales, graduating with a distinction average.

Wendy Hammond

Wendy has over 17 years experience in the investment industry and is responsible for all client relationships, as well as marketing and business development at Northcape. Wendy joined Northcape in 2021 and is in our Sydney office.

Before joining Northcape, Wendy was a Director of Client Development at JANA, Australia’s largest investment consulting firm. In this role she was responsible for sales and client retention, including leading strategic growth initiatives and client strategy. Prior to this Wendy held various senior investment advice and research positions and institutional product development roles with MLC and NAB.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney, B.Bus. and has completed a Master of Applied Finance from the Macquarie University Business School.
