Michael Ryan

Michael has over 30 years experience in the funds management industry and is the Managing Director of Northcape. Michael joined Northcape in January 2005 and is in our Sydney office.

At Northcape Michael previously had responsibility for Investment Operations, IT, Risk & Compliance, Audit and Legal functions. Before joining Northcape, Michael established a consultancy business, advising several boutique investment managers. Prior to this, Michael held varied Investment Operations, Custody or IT related roles with several investment managers, including MLC, Lend Lease Investment Management, Legal & General Asset Management and Macquarie Bank.

Michael has an Honours Degree in Computing Science / Economics from UTS and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Steve Gliddon

Steve has over 33 years investment experience. Steve is one of our founding Directors, establishing Northcape in 2004 and is currently Chairman of the Northcape Board. Steve was previously portfolio manager and analyst for the Australian Equity strategies until early 2018.

Before establishing Northcape, Steve gained extensive financial market experience from various roles in stockbroking, funds management and advisory firms dating back to 1986.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW.
